Tom Kibblewhite. A couple of days ago he was just a normal bloke living a normal life. Now he is the best longboarder in the country.
After winning the national title Tom was absolutely stoked. “The whole thing was a bit of a shock to me and I’m very humbled by the turn out!”
Kibblewhite finally won the national title after placing runner up for the past three years.
Kibblewhite defeated first time finalist Matt Cockayne (Auck) who won a tight three way battle for the minor placings ahead of Kelly Ryan (Gis) and Cale Tolley (Mnt).
Underground skate (Us) would like to congratulate Tom on all the hard training he has done to come out on top. Well done Tom.
Check out some of the gnarly pictures below of Tom Carvin’ up those waves down in Dunedin.
Come join the local Krew for a skate and BBQ! Every Sunday with a 1pm kickoff. Last week we had about 25 people attend! Visitors from Helensville, Browns Bay and from all over the shore also showed up. Come skate with all the local crew like. Allan K, Matt Beckham, Chase Collins, Nick and all the other boys. There will be a trophy for the skater of the day / week. 1st week was taken out by Jack and the 2nd week was won by Joe busting huge airwalks in the halfpipe.
There will be new games / challenges every week to keep it interesting. Prizes will also be going to the best tricks of the day.
Jake will be serving up the best sausages in town, with onions, sauce and eggs. And of course there will be ice cold drinks to wash em down with.
Beanies will be given out to the best tricks, like last weeks 8m K-Grind.
